How to create a preloader search?

Good night everybody! Please tell me how preloader search is created, let's say there is an anonymous chat, when you press the search button, you are loading the search in a different amount of time, sometimes 10 seconds or less.

1. You send an asynchronous request to the back → show the loader image.
2. You get a response → delete/hide the loader icon.
