I want to make a new type like featured, latest, best sellers and define a category there. All this is necessary so that through the theme it is possible to render products in groups on the main page. How to do it?
I am using Opencart 1.5.6.4 + Pav Theme Framework 2.0

You need a negative margin to back off from the top (or bottom depending on your structure), then max-width will work, and auto margin on the sides (margin:-50px auto 0 auto).
