How to create a new account with administrator rights using "Single User Mode"?

Hello, my problem is this: I forgot the administrator password, I tried many ways, but none of them gave the expected success. I read on this site (link below) the article "Cheating a Mac and creating a new user", this method seems to me effective, but I'm not sure if the commands are relevant for my version: Mac OS X Yosemite .
