How to create a Landing Page on WordPress?

Hello.
Started designing Landing Page on pure WordPress. It became clear that I would not do this on pure WP, since it was not intended for this (initially). Any advice on how you create LPs on WP? What plugins do you use?
Installed WordPress Landing Pages Plugin. But I can not find how to make it the home page of the site.

On pure WP, you can write anything you want. The question is whether the customer needs it, when it is easier to use a ready- made solution in creating an LP . Which will already solve a bunch of problems for you.
Custom Field Suite is probably the plugin that I use in 90% of WP sites.
If you want to do everything without plugins, I can advise you to dig towards functions: add_menu_page() , get_option() .
Create a content page. You create there somehow an opportunity for users through the admin panel to fill in the theme options and already in yourself you request them and display them.

Contact form 7 for forms, the rest I type right in the template. I use bootstrap, so all the sliders and so on are there. What else is needed?

in vain you think that this is superfluous, often there is a full-fledged website with news and a couple of landing pages need to be hung on it, and both the news and the content blocks of the landing page (at least) should be edited.
I have not yet looked for a solution to this problem, but it seems one of these days I will start))
