How to create a database for an android application?

Hello, I need help with the database for the application... The idea is to write an expense planner for myself as a workout, so I'm at least somehow familiar with java and android, but very little with sql.
But the idea is that there will be two tables ... the first contains id, expense item (text), amount (number), date, note (text) ... the second table will contain data on expenses for the month, respectively, the key field there will be expense item, since it will no longer be repeated, the second table will also contain the amount of this expense for the month and for the year, and the limit for the month and year, respectively .... the question is whether such a base will work?
