How to correctly switch a library built from source?
Requires libgd library with webp support for nginx image_filter module. The one installed by the package manager is built without this support. I decided to build from source, first I built webp lib and after libgd. And in order for the new one to pick up, you need to remove the old one and run ldconfig. With the default setting, webp images that pass through this module turn green. The question is: is it right to do so and is there an alternative solution? debian jessie OS
