How to correctly save text with emoji in the model (encoding)?

The problem is that either nothing is written to the database instead of emoji, or "?", or "????"
I set the encoding to utf8 general ci at the base, then changed it to utf8mb4 general ci and utf8mb4 unicode ci
in the connection settings, set both utf8 and utf8mb4
the problem was not solved
, did anyone have this and how did you solve it? before that, everything was recorded in the database, but from some point everything went wrong
