How to correctly configure the server for publishing VS 2010 projects?

Good afternoon!
Tell me please on the subject.
In a nutshell, now there is a client with studio 2010 installed and a bunch of libraries. There is a bare windows server 2008 r2 server which needs to be configured correctly. Interested in the question with various specific libraries: how to install them correctly. Will it be enough to put the dll-files on the server in the same directory as on the client machine? Or rather, it will store libraries in each project separately and how this will affect the amount of memory occupied. Or install VS2010 on the server and run an automatic installer-linker on it, which will automatically download the necessary libraries from the Internet (as I did on the client)?
P.S. Please forgive me if the question is stupid.
