How to correctly arrange the link "Call via Skype" for a picture in a Gmail signature?

I wanted to make a cool signature in Gmail. I decided instead of the usual representation of the mailbox, skype and twitter account to put pictures-logos that would have a “correct” link in them.
There were no problems with gmail and twitter, everything works.
Difficulties appeared with Skype. I sew up the link skype:SkypeUser?call - it does not work, the browser "does not see" the link in the picture.
Can anyone tell me if this can be done in principle, and if so, how?

I once managed to do this through a signature created and copied from WiseStamp, because everything is paid directly through it. Of the minuses that I remember - the signature crumbled with any answer to the letter containing it ... In general, it is also still interesting.
