How to copy and delete copied files from server via bat/cmd?

You need to go to the server via FTP, copy all the files from the folder and place them on the PC, and then delete the copied files from the server.
The catch is that you can’t just copy it, since the files constantly appear there and you can’t lose them. And that's what happens when copying.
Wrote for example: copy all files from the server folder, then delete everything. While copying, some more files appeared ...
It is necessary that only those files that were downloaded to the computer be deleted. Who will tell?

mget command
although the description is not correct:
- what does it mean not to lose?
Are the file names repeated? (if so, how often)
