How to convert .xls to .xlsx?

Actually, the whole question is in the title. Is it possible to somehow convert using nodejs? In fact, you don’t even have to be tied to nodejs, I would have at least somehow, just to make it work within the server.
I found the "xlsx" plugin on nodejs, it converted, but the colors were lost..... The plugin must preserve the colors of the cells.
