How to convert the source code into a full-fledged application?

Help, I'm not very good with programming yet. I found the source codes of the game on the Internet, looked at them, changed something somewhere, but now there is one "BUT", I don't know how to put it back into a working application. This is a C# game for the XNA framework, so you need to install XNA Game Studio, building code in C# is much easier than in C++, but nevertheless it requires experience, it is best to contact the game authors and find out what they are building, or contact someone with experience.
