How to convert pt to px correctly?

Good day to all.
The question has developed like this, I often receive layouts in 72 dpi
Everywhere it is written that 1pt ~ 1px , but in fact the more points, the greater the error. And customers often complain about it.

There is a table, but I don't understand what exactly it is suitable for? For 96dpi?

72dpi is the ratio from paper typography. On the web, the standard is 96dpi. In a good way, the designer should set exactly this value in the layouts.

Accordingly, 1px = 0.75pt.
Of course, on real physical devices, these ratios float, but it is conventionally accepted as such.

pt = actual size, 1/72 inch, 1 inch = 2.54 cm
px = pixel, the size of which is different on different monitors
dpi = dots per inch, the relationship of the first to the second. The multiplier depends on dpi when converting pt to px. But it will work when printing, for example, since the monitor still displays in pixels.
Accordingly, when making layout, you have no idea what the actual pixel size on the user's monitor is. So the translation of one into the other is very conditional.
For what? The fact that you could not make green carrots? So it's impossible. I think they complain not about the ratio of magnitudes, but about the fact that it looks bad. And here there are a bunch of solutions and they are not related to these values in any way, well, or very indirectly.
