How to convert pt to centimeters?

Illustrator uses a pt-size font, you need to get the height of the letters exactly 10 cm. How to calculate this?
Tried 1pt = 0.03528cm - doesn't match. Moreover, if you try to calculate the coefficient yourself (we printed fonts with different sizes on a laser printer), it turns out different for different font sizes.
What's the matter? Is there a specific formula for translation? The document will be printed in operational printing - maybe the coefficient will be different there? The printer freezes and does not want to explain anything.

No way, all fonts have a different ratio of letter height and font size (aspect ratio).
I advise you to read: https://www.fonts.com/content/learning/fontology/l...
It is easier to measure the size of the letters with a ruler or draw a square 10x10 cm in size and adjust the height of the letters according to it.
