How to convert docx to xml and vice versa?

Good afternoon. Interested in the question, are there any libraries for converting docx type files to xml code files? I need to get the document code, process it and convert it back to docx or pdf format using python .
I went through the entire runet and even got into the English-language pages, but could not find a satisfying option.

Unpack with an archiver, because docx is xml in the archive.
