How to convert an Excel-based SAP Analysis report to the required format using Python code?

The task is as follows:
When you start a SAP transaction, a report with the SAP Analysis add-in based on Excel is unloaded. In this report, you must first stop updates, then add rows, and only after that start working with table data.
I understand that you can process this table using Pandas, but I don’t understand how you can use Python (or, in extreme cases, VBA) to add additional rows and stop updates.
