How to control the player on android via usb?

Good afternoon!
There is a smartphone with an android, some media player is spinning on it. The player understands switching tracks from a bluetooth device. But how would you make a similar remote control, only via USB? Car radios can somehow control, so it is possible. What device class is needed there? And where can I find a list of commands so as not to reinvent the wheel?
