I saw more than once that the sites installed the API from WolframAlpha, inserted the widget. After that, a line appeared where you can enter a query for this search engine. In response, information came and was displayed on the same site without switching to Wolfram. How can it be installed?

Take a look at the widget gallery page: www.wolframalpha.com/widgets/gallery
There are a bunch of categories that group widgets of different themes. Search widgets are also available. If you open a page with a widget (for example, " General Search "), you can find the embed code on the right side of the page.
