How to connect visual studio emulator for android to adb.exe?

I want to install google play in the emulator by dragging gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip into it to test google services in my game. But the emulator throws an error. The documentation says that you need to change the ADB search location for the emulator. In registry editor I don't have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Android SDK Tools
