How to connect to VM by Hostname?

Hello. The point is this.
Host: Windows 10.
Guest: Ubuntu Server 18.04.
Virtualization: Virtualbox 5.2.18.
Task: Connect to VM by Hostname
Settings and software: Virtualbox uses a network bridge. The machine has received its IP-adr and is accessible via it, via putty too. But on hostname in any way. Added it to /etc/hosts . So far, I decided by adding my hands and in W10 to the hosts file an entry, but this is not correct, sort of.
Please tell me the correct setting.

Raise a DNS server on Ubuntu and register the necessary hosts in it, and in W10 register the IP address of the guest machine as the primary DNS

Or add one line to the hosts file of the host system

There are many ways to do it, some easier and some harder.
1) On the router, register static ip addresses and dns names
2) Raise the domain and drive machines there, single users and groups will be a bonus everywhere
3) It will only show for Linux, configure nsswitch and the cars will talk to each other a lot
4) Raise the wins server and register it manually on each wheelbarrow or distribute it via dhcp. Names in this case will be according to nebios names.
