Created an ODBC connection to the database. Database connection successful.
Or how else can you most simply look at the plates in the database and their contents?

mysql -u user -p
enter the password when prompted. If required, specify other options as needed.
In general, it is better to store settings in ~/.my.cnf, then you can simply
mysql
