How to connect to rasberry pi HDD with SATA?

Good afternoon!
The question is. I have a Raspberry Pi model B and an old 1tb HDD. I would like to make a home media server for storing media and a small test web server for projects.
I found a SATA to USB adapter to connect the HDD to the rasberry, but I deducted that the rasberry itself consumes 3.5W, and the HDD is about 5W. Will this be a problem when connected and is it possible to somehow solve this problem without connecting the HDD to a separate power source?

An old HDD, but 1TB... I doubt that you are talking about a 2.5" drive.
In this case, you have nowhere to take + 12V and only an external power supply.
