How to connect to NAS as Time Machine with AFP through intermediate router?

I’ll explain in advance that I’m not friends with networks, I know many concepts very superficially!

Connected Synology NAS to the main router, which is connected via DSL to the provider. I set everything up according to the first instruction that came across ( https://poznyaev.ru/blog/oborudovanie/time-machine... ) and the Macbook started making backups. Everything was ok.

After moving, I had to connect a second router. This is because the first one was supposed to be outside the apartment behind a thick wall, from where WiFi does not reach the living room. Weifai is now distributing a second router. I left the NAS box in the technical room along with the first router - it's quieter and more convenient.

But now the MacBook cannot see the AFP folder for Time Machine. Although the shared folders of the NAS are available and are mounted without problems in the Finder by IP address.

Tell me, please, what can be done here?

The first router with Internet and NAS - Huawei HG659 - 192.168.1.1
The second router with WiFi - Xiaomi Mi-router Mini - 192.168.31.1
LAN wire is connected to each other. I didn't make any settings, it just worked.

Huawei HG659 LAN connected to Xiaomi Mi-router Mini WAN. and it turns out that the laptop is behind NAT for NAS. (there is no line of sight.
In order to have a line of sight,
Huawei HG659 LAN must be connected to the Xiaomi LAN
- disable on Xiaomi DHCP
- assign an IP address from the 192.168.1.0/24 network to the Xiaomi LAN (for example, 192.168.1.10/24).

The problem is related to the fact that you connected the Time Machine network drive not via IP, but via Bonjour.
After installing the second router, Bonjour stopped working, because this is how Multicast works.
You need to:
- go to TM settings
- stop using the TM drive
- map the TM drive as a network drive
- configure TM
