How to connect to a PC remotely with minimal loss?

Hello!
Such a question, I want to remotely connect to my home PC from my workplace and work on it (on my home PC). I tried teamviewer, but ran into a problem - when working, every 5-10 seconds, the environment slows down for 2-3 seconds, which, in fact, does not allow you to work comfortably.
Are there any better quality alternatives?

@likeapimp

it's not about the teamviewer, but
put fewer colors in the channel, lower the resolution and turn off the transfer of unnecessary - backgrounds there, etc.
you can take radmin, there is a trial, compare, it will not differ much

Microsoft RDP also has non-trivial compression algorithms - it compresses the stream from some applications better. Try it?

If TeamViewer, then if the channel is bad, disable all effects, splash screens. It should work faster. As an option, try ammyadmin. The best VPN option.
