How to connect to 1s?

The question is terribly stupid, but a question nonetheless. We were given the task of unloading from the 1C database, before that I didn’t work with 1C from the word at all. From accesses IP, login and password. The main proger is on vacation, but I don’t know where to insert these accesses. Tried to connect through the thin client - does not work.

Choose according to your taste:
But if you are not familiar with 1C, you will not see the meaning in my words.

Tried to connect through the thin client - does not work.

What does "doesn't work" mean?
1) Gives an error about the wrong username / password?
2) Gives an error about the mismatch between server and client versions?
3) Gives an error that the database at the specified address was not found?
Judging by the nature of the task (unloading the database), a thin client will not suit you - you need to connect with a thick client in the configurator mode. In general, unloading the database in dt format is not considered good form. It’s better to do unloading using your DBMS - for this, login data to 1C is not needed at all.

Yes, it is unlikely that the unloading is the receipt of data, here all the same experience is needed with 1C.
Most likely it is RDP. But in general, specify what they want from you =)
