How to connect Threejs to React?

I'm doing a project on React, I'm thinking of switching from canvas to webgl (specifically the Threejs library). How to correctly connect this library in the case of React?
I have some element like <div ref="threejs"></div>. How to make it the context (field) of execution of the Threejs library?
PS: I don't want to use extensions like react-threejs
