Page 27, AC 97 - questions about the microphone are immediately removed, but about the speakers - most likely HPOUT R and HPOUT L are direct channels and they need to be inserted in Line Out (R) and Line Out (L). If it doesn't sound, then we put HPOUT-R and HPOUT-L in their place. Nobody canceled the poke method. In this case, nothing is guaranteed to burn.
