How to connect Nvidia GTX980 Ti graphics cards in Ubuntu 14.04?
Actually the question is as follows:
When I load Ubuntu using the video card built into the processor, then everything works fine. If I stick an Nvidia GTX980 Ti video card into the PC, the system cannot start and offers to start in low resolution mode (which it does not succeed with successfully). In general, I have access only to the console mode. I installed the nvidia-352 driver (the description says support for my video card), but after a reboot everything works the same. Has anyone come across this problem and know how to solve it?

In order to leave comments, you need to log in
a) Try starting the system with the -nomodset option
b) Check if the processor has an integrated video core. Perhaps you need to add its driver to the blacklist
c) Trite, but maybe the problem is simply in the wrong xorg.conf?
In any case, the logs would not interfere.
Try 361/358 from this repository: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/u...
This one works fine for me, though with 780M (and 352 worked from there too)
