How to connect Huawei EC176 3G modem to Lenovo A3000-H tablet?
Tablet: Lenovo A3000-H
Modem: Huawei EC176
I'm trying to raise a modem connection on a tablet. I found a PPP widget, which initially complained about the lack of option.ko. Now I'm trying to slip the drivers from this site , but all the ones I've tried, of course, do not work (but there is no one specifically for my tablet). Here is the log of the PPP widget itself:
PPP Widget version 1.3.3
USB_ModeSwitch log from Mon Jan 13 22:32:31 EET 2014

Driver module is "option", ID path is /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1
Command to be run:
usb_modeswitch -I -W -D -s 20 -u -1 -b 1 -g 5 -v 12d1 -p 1505 -f $cB
Verbose debug output of usb_modeswitch and libusb follows
(Note that some USB errors are to be expected in the process)
