How to connect HP MSA2040?

I was lucky to become the owner of an HP MSA 2040 with two controllers, I am the first to deal with storage systems. Before that, I raised HP servers from scratch, but there is something special here.
I ran into a problem connecting the storage system to the network, I noticed that it does not eat all SFP + cables. If you connect, for example, via SFP + Mikrotik direct attach cable controllers to each other, then a link appears. (with SuperMicro cables and Chinese D-Links such a trick does not work)
If the same cable is plugged into a 10Gbit switch from Unifi or D-Link, then there is no link!
HP MSA 2040 SAN Dual Controller LFF Storage (C8R14A)
has already suggested that SFP + ports cannot be connected to an Ethernet network, do you need an iSCSI network?
In the end, I don’t need a network, but I need to connect two HPE DL380p GEN9 servers to the storage system. (the servers have SFP+ 10Gbit Ethernet pci-e cards)
Do you need a switch from HP for this storage system? or you can not do original?

Write the exact model. There are different configurations, and controllers can also be different. Well, see the manual, in terms of the location of the ports. Perhaps you are really plugging FC ports into ethernet, or vice versa.
