Good afternoon, dear Ubuntu gurus I can't figure out how to connect an mp3 player. I connect the laptop and the player via usb cable. The system does not detect anything, Gparted does not find any connected drives either. In Windows, the player connected without problems

Is the device visible in lsusb?
Look at dmesg while connecting the device.
