How to connect an emulator in Android Studio?

I downloaded AndroidStudio, there was a problem working with the emulator. In fact, it can't start. I download the emulator, then install. After that, an emulator should appear for you to select. But the emulator doesn't show up. Thus, the ability to work with the emulator flies off. What do you suggest? If you have questions ask.

What emulator are you downloading? For AS, you do not need to download the emulator, it is there "out of the box".
You will need to download system images, it is better to download x86 images to work without brakes. It is also desirable to download and install intel HAXM (you will need to find it in the SDK folder and manually run the installer).
After that, you will need to create an emulator through the AVD Manager by selecting one of the downloaded system images. And now after that it will be possible to run the emulator for debugging.
