How to connect a scanner through a router?

Hello, I have a zyxel keenetic omni 2 and an HP LaserJet M1120 MFP.
I connected the printer to the router via USB, and set up a jetdirect connection with it
following this instruction https://help.keenetic.net/hc/en/articles/213967609
The printer works, but I don’t know how to connect the scanner. Any ideas?

Read the instructions for the scanner.
If he knows how to work over the network, it says about it, and it also says how to set it up.
If you can't, buy one that can.

You can't implement scanning on routers and print servers. Because scanners do not have a standard generally accepted data transfer protocol compatible with a jetdirect network, they have twain, but it is very difficult to implement on routers, and it is specifically designed for usb.
Therefore, there are three options: either buy a scanner with a built-in ethernet interface and native software that can work over the network, or buy a device that allows you to forward a usb port through the network, or fence something on a single-board / server.

You need software to work with the scanner in zyxel keenetic omni 2, which is unlikely to work. Even on Raspberry it is easier to implement than on a router. If the router does not work with scanners, then nothing will work.
