How to connect a router to a 12v battery?

Good afternoon,
there is a desire to power the router through a buffer lead-acid battery, which has an output voltage of 11-13.7 volts, while the router is powered by 12v. A fully charged battery can burn it, tell me some effective way to limit the voltage? So far, a couple of quenching diodes and a discharge limit of 12v come to mind, but in this case, the battery will not be used at full capacity

The battery should not burn it - inside there are stabilizers for 5V, 3.3V and what else it (the router) needs.
For me, more difficult - how to ensure the charge of this battery? But if everything is clear to you with this - calmly connect.

Routers usually already have a DC-DC converter with a wide input voltage range - usually 5 ... 25 volts. So it's easier to disassemble and see what's worth, look at the datasheet.

I used a voltage divider for a similar task .
