How to connect a phone to Android Studio via USB?

Is it possible to emulate a phone in Android Studio? and you can also connect the phone, and run already on it?
But how to do this?
When you connect the phone via USB, it is simply not visible ... so that you do not put it in the phone (I'm talking about checkboxes ... when you just connect USB), you still can't see how to fix this? how to connect the phone?
I hope I was able to explain the essence of the issue, and thanks in advance

@Radjah

Settings / Help / Software Information / 7 Taps by Build Number
Settings / For Developers / Debugging / USB Debugging Item
names may vary due to localization, but the essence should be clear.

@Kinhagen

- turn on the developer mode on the phone, as described above (an inscription appears, like "you are a developer". On the phone, as a result, the developer options and below should be enabled: 'Stay awake' and 'USB-Debugging' (in Russian only)
- install the Driver on the computer: set the Android OEM in Google, go to the page, select the phone model, follow the link and install the required Driver
- connect the phone to the computer via USB Check: it (phone name) should appear in the device manager
- now we launch Android Studio -> the desired project -> Run -> select the phone instead of the emulator, etc.
