How to connect a 4k monitor at 60 Hz?
Good evening!
There is a laptop (ASUS VivoBook X512FJ-BQ374) with HDMI and USB TypeC port and a 4k monitor (LG 24UD58-B) with DisplayPort and HDMI, when connected, the resolution is correct, and the maximum frequency is 30 Hz. I couldn’t install the HDMI port version in the laptop (it’s not indicated in the documentation, Google is also silent), I sinned on the cable that came with the monitor, I bought HDMI v2.0 with 4k60Hz support, but when connected, the results are the same.
Is it possible to use a DisplayPort/Usb type c adapter to get 60hz? Anyone with this experience, please share.
PS Regarding usb type c - the documentation says "USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ™ port" and nothing else, but I found a page on the asus websitein which there are descriptions of icons near the port and my port fits "USB Type-C without video output" - does this mean that the option with an adapter is not possible?

HDMI must be version 2.0.
You can connect through the type-c -> hdmi adapter, and it will even work, but you need the right adapter.
I tried five pieces, 4K @ 60Hz only shows branded apple. (I believe there are other options. Pay attention to the description of the adapter - it should say [email protected])
