How to configure Ubuntu for low latency networking?
My lab has a measurement server running Ubuntu. There is a C program on the server that takes care of receiving data from a network card (tcp connection) and should send a response as soon as possible. Network delays in receiving and about packets are very critical (tens of microseconds are important). I optimized the program itself to the maximum, but there is no experience in fine-tuning Ubuntu.
Please tell me what can be configured in Ubuntu to reduce the local delay when processing / sending packets?
