How to configure gulp-html-minifier so that it doesn't remove closing tags?

I used gulp-html-minifier and gulp-minify-html to compress html code. Both plugins remove end tags if there are no matching start tags in the file. For example, I compress footer.html, it has body and html closing tags, and both are removed after compression. I went through all the plugin options, it did not help.
