How to configure CNC (friendly url)?

Renamed the ht.access file to .htaccess using the file manager, went to the system settings, changed the friendly url parameter to "yes", but it does not apply and is reset to "no". What could be the problem? Server nginx/1.14.1

How is it "dropped"? Try some other options to change in the system settings, the same problem or only with this switch? There, perhaps, it is not obvious, sometimes (at least earlier) it jumps to the previous value, but you be persistent)) For the first time I hear such a thing that it is reset.
If you continue this behavior, see what is in the browser console and in the MODX log ..

Hello, .htaccess is an Apache configuration file, if you have a pure nigx, then maybe because of this the settings are reset? But it is not exactly :)
