If the pages are of the same level, then MODx is not very suitable, each time a "sheet" of the document tree will be loaded in the admin panel. If everything is in subsections of 2 and 3 levels, then the norms. The admin panel itself is more convenient for MODx, but it's a matter of habit, WordPressers may not understand me.
