how to completely uninstall a program from macOS

Faced a problem. Mail Agent started crashing right after launch. Just deleting from the programs and a fresh installation does not help. As I understand it, the program is installed not only in the program folder, since after reinstallation all data was saved

You need to use special programs cleaners, like Cleanmymac, etc. They are able to determine the files that the program has littered and delete them too. This is in the case of “drag and drop” installers, but if the program uses a full-fledged installer, then it happens that an uninstaller is also included, then it is better to use it.

Usually programs leave tails in ~/Library/Preferencesand ~/Library/Application Support, you can manually delete everything from there.

Almost all programs litter their settings and caches in different system folders. To remove all the garbage along with the program, I recommend using, for example, AppZapper.
