How to compile bootstrap?

Bootstrap

1. I installed node.js for myself
2. Downloaded via npm install bootstrap.
3. Made my own adjustments to the SCSS file bootstrap.scss.

Now I want to get compiled .css files with my edits. How can I do it?
To my great surprise, there are absolutely no detailed instructions on Google.
