How to compare 2 directories and display different files?

Hello. Faced a problem. I can not simplify the process of updating the site on the hosting.
In the local directory, there are 2 options for one site. The first is the local version, the second is the version that will be uploaded to the server. However, it is very inconvenient to lay out the entire project every time. Therefore, I am looking for a program that will compare which files have been changed and copy them, taking into account the folder hierarchy, into a separate directory, for easy transfer of them. Any method you use is also welcome. Thanks for the help.

Million programs. You would at least specify in what environment you can execute commands.
Starting from the usual rsync, find, diff and ending with a full-fledged deployment using a bunch of options.
Why it is inconvenient to lay out the entire project is not specified.
