How to collect statistics on which buttons and how many times the user clicks?

Actually the question is as follows: how to track how many clicks the user makes on certain buttons or links on the site. It is especially interesting how this is best done in the context of the Ruby on Rails framework. Does anyone know a suitable gem?

@Denormalization

https://metrika.yandex.ru/ there is such functionality. We just set the counter and see where users click on the heat map.

to the google analytics metric yet. to count the buttons - you need to hang targets on the buttons. And, there are similar systems that are installed on the site itself.

Connect https://www.google.com/analytics/.
You create a user variable. Here it is described what it is and how to set up megamozg.ru/post/8122
We hang events on the buttons and pass your user ID to them.
