How to close the desired tab in firefox or chrome from the terminal in debian 8?

Actually, in chrome, you can find out the pid of the tab and paint over it through the kill command (but the tab will not close, but instead of the content it will be something like "oops ..."), are there any ways? Preferably for firefox...
