How to clean the printer's pickup roller?

The printer (Samsung ML 2010) stopped taking paper normally (takes it once or twice), it is advised to clean the roller, but in fact what / how?
The printer is about 7 years old, printed about 5000 pages.

I'll put in my five cents as a former printer service engineer :)
1. Do not use alcohol! - from it, the rubber dries out and begins to crack, a weak solution of ammonia is allowed - all sorts of glass cleaners are excellent.
2. The elastic band can be removed and rotated, often the inner surface has a tighter structure, you can simply unscrew it and pull it back.
3. there is a special liquid for cleaning rubber rollers "platenclene print roller cleaner and restorer", I have not seen anything better. (in any service for a penny they puff on your video, well, I never refused :) )

Always wipe the roller with a cotton pad dipped in water. Pulled out the paper tray. Pressing the tray closing sensor with his left hand, he pressed it against the roller with his right hand, waiting for it to make two turns. This manipulation was enough sometimes for a couple of weeks, then for a week, then for a day or two.
Do not wipe with alcohol or acetone - the gum will crack. I bought a roller a long time ago - it lies, waiting for better times. To replace it, you will have to scatter the entire printer.
Rubbed with white spirit - it helped! For the third month the flight is normal. Picks up paper the first time. True, the first day was a side effect: the smell was (for me it’s so normal, technical), my wife cursed, the neighbors from above came running, asking if we had a gas leak.
