How to choose the right capacitor for use with a voltage regulator?

The task is quite simple: power the microcontroller from the crown ( 9V ) (a controller board like Arduino, but without a built-in voltage regulator, accepts only 5V ).
I have a Linear voltage regulator L7805
amperka.ru/collection/misc-components/product/volt...
The description says: " To connect the voltage regulator, you will need a pair of capacitors. A value of 100 nF is suitable for both input and output filtering ."
However, the datasheet shows 330nF and 100nF

capacitors. Why does the store's opinion contradict the datasheet?

I would rather trust the datasheet than someone else's opinion. In your case, there is not much difference, but it is better to play it safe and put a larger container.
