How to choose the path where to go, to development or devops or somewhere else ??

Hi all!
I am 29 years old.
For the last 4 years I have been working as an administrator (not an IT office, which is already bad for development, I understand)
I know well / excellent -
Linux (I can deploy servers for various types of needs)
Network technologies (I will soon receive ccna).
Hardware (in the era of clouds, it seems to me that this is already superfluous, it was pumped in vain)
Windows Server (the services attached to it)
I have an excellent idea about the web, cloud technologies, what differs from what, what language is used where for what.
And other topics such as access, video surveillance, wireless technologies.
In general, a typical admin-programmer-installer-electrician. A little bit of everything, nothing good in the end.
And as it happens, I did not have time to blink an eye and already hit 30. Earnings 40-50 thousand ceiling. From climbing the floor of the table near the bukhs is already sick.
I started studying Cloud technologies (aws, gcp), ci/cd, containerization.
I realized that I definitely lost at least 3 years, I urgently need to study this, and I’m very interested, I’m surprised how far everything has gone and understanding how much my current administration philosophy is outdated.
I am now at a crossroads, I choose to learn the Devops stack, or go into Java/Python/Go development.
Is it difficult to get into development without specialized education?
From 20 to 25, it’s not at all,
From 25 to 30, consider eniky, doing everything in a row, but in the end, nothing (as usual).
I realized that I lost time, now I’m very anxious for myself, at that age I can’t even imagine where they’ll take me as a junior. Please advise, I have no one to ask about this, except on the Internet, the whole environment is not it

Devops is not a specific specialty. This is methodology. Like Scrum (there are even Scrum Master positions), Kanban, etc. What exactly the employer wants is not always clear. Basically absolutely. Somewhere it comes to the fact that the responsibilities of the devops include covering the entire product (not even some application, but the whole group) with tests or refactoring the enterprise architecture and even refactoring the application code.
Better go to development. There you will learn how to write, assemble and work the code. What is needed for its assembly, delivery and launch. Then you can apply to devops. Because you will know and be able to basics. Sometimes most of the devops time is spent writing and debugging code.

Cheita?
You are not an admin, sorry. Admins have specially trained monkeys for climbing under tables and kissing drunken accountants at corporate parties.
On the same topic: yes, go to DevOps, this is a good way. Here, either in the managers, or in the devops, go ahead.

Go to a bigger office. Size - it just doesn't matter in sex :) A big office is good already because you will have a specially trained person to lift the skirts of accountants :)
