How to choose the amount of RAM for Xcode?
How much RAM do you need for more or less normal work in Xcode 10? I have iMac Mid 2011, 4 GB. RAM, 512 MB. video memory.

install an SSD.
The bottleneck on a Mac is not RAM, it's disk.
4 is definitely not enough, but 8 is already quite a working volume. with an SSD . but it’s better to have at least 16, so that you can use virtual machines without a doubt (if you need to)
they said it right above - 16 and SSD - and you won’t recognize your poppy. there will be an excellent working machine
ps. My main computer for XCode is a poppy mini MD387 i5-8(Corsair)-512ssd WD Blue
