How to choose an asynchronous server + API for asynchronous data transfer?
I'm considering node.js + sockjs or tornado + sockjs. But I understand the issue very poorly. Previously, I had to write only in C + php + javascript + mysql + html + css. In general, my level is not particularly high, but I'm learning (I also like python at the moment - I'm studying)
As a matter of fact, first of all I want to initially choose an asynchronous server so that in the future I don't have to choose another one. And start learning how to work with it. There are so many things on the Internet that I'm just confused.
Node.js is said to crash periodically. but I also found information that this is due to server idle - you can increase the length of the timeout, in case the server is idle longer than usual. I also found out that everything is very bad with node mathematics. In this regard, the question to which I did not find an answer on the Internet: Is it possible to tie something to node in order to work with mathematics as well.
I was also interested in tornado, but only because I most often met mentions of it.
I wonder what all the same from this works faster, more stable?
Generally speaking, I will be glad to hear completely different solutions. And in order not to take expensive time from psychics, I will describe what I would like to achieve using the selected servers + libraries:
In addition to training, of course, there is a project idea in the plans: Website builder with the ability to send instant messages between users (in short). At the same time, mathematical calculations are also of interest due to my professional specialty. I would like to be able to write mathematical services and attach them to the project, or just write a mat. services and not fasten - not so important. + I would like to be able to work with libraries for processing 3d and so on - just in case "what if I'm interested someday" I repeat that I don't want to change my mind in the future. I plan to grow and learn mainly on the web.
Sorry for the bed sheet and thanks in advance for the help and replies.
